# Practilite Remote Control vs HollyView

The clearest difference is rating: Practilite Remote Control at 3.6 against HollyView's 2.4. HollyView's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 18 months) and review sentiment (15% vs 0%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Practilite Remote Control holds the better App Store score, 3.6 against 2.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HollyView has 73 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Practilite Remote Control's written reviews are positive against 15% of HollyView's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Practilite Remote Control ships an update every 18 months, HollyView monthly. The most recent releases landed on September 15, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
