# Skool Loop vs memoryOS

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Skool Loop at none against memoryOS's 28. Skool Loop also leads on review sentiment (92% vs 80%). memoryOS's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (17K vs 43). On price, update cadence, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. memoryOS sells 23 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Skool Loop asks for nothing beyond the download.

memoryOS holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: memoryOS has 17K ratings behind it against 43, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 92% of Skool Loop's written reviews are positive against 80% of memoryOS's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
