# RIDGID View vs STEELMAN PRO

The clearest difference is update cadence: RIDGID View at every 4 months against STEELMAN PRO's every 10 months. STEELMAN PRO's advantage is review sentiment (75% vs 67%) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 14.0). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

RIDGID View holds the better App Store score, 3.5 against 3.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 4 and 6 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of RIDGID View's written reviews are positive against 75% of STEELMAN PRO's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

RIDGID View ships an update every 4 months, STEELMAN PRO every 10 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
