# Guidefitter vs Copper Johns

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Guidefitter at 4.9K against Copper Johns's 143. Guidefitter also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and device support (3 vs 1). Copper Johns's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Guidefitter against 4.9 for Copper Johns. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Guidefitter has 4.9K ratings behind it against 143, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 92% of Guidefitter's written reviews are positive against 94% of Copper Johns's.

Guidefitter ships an update monthly, Copper Johns fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 2, 2026.
