# Player Gear vs EyeShift

The clearest difference is ads: EyeShift at none against Player Gear's shown. Player Gear's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Player Gear sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and EyeShift sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Player Gear ships an update every 3 weeks, EyeShift every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
