# Versatex Premier vs Sutro

The clearest difference is rating: Sutro at 3.2 against Versatex Premier's 1.5. Sutro also leads on ratings volume (11 vs 2) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0). Versatex Premier's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 8 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Sutro holds the better App Store score, 3.2 against 1.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sutro has 11 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Versatex Premier ships an update every 2 months, Sutro every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
