# Dime Black vs 1 Hotels

Dime Black and 1 Hotels both sit at 5.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Dime Black's written reviews are positive against 29% of 1 Hotels's. Dime Black also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 17.6). 1 Hotels's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (1.9K vs 4). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Dime Black holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 1 Hotels has 1.9K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.
