# Patreon vs HIDIVE

The clearest difference is rating: Patreon at 4.9 against HIDIVE's 2.0. Patreon also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 8) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months). HIDIVE's advantage is device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, monetization model and chart position there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HIDIVE sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Patreon asks for nothing beyond the download.

Patreon holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Patreon has 579K ratings behind it against 5.2K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 41% of Patreon's written reviews are positive against 13% of HIDIVE's.

Patreon ships an update weekly, HIDIVE every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
