# Keybase vs G

The clearest difference is review sentiment: G at 100% against Keybase's 42%. G also leads on rating (5.0 vs 3.5) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 months). Keybase's advantage is ratings volume (323 vs 3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

G holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Keybase has 323 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 42% of Keybase's written reviews are positive against 100% of G's.

Keybase ships an update every 3 months, G every 5 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
