# OLAS vs Promethean

The clearest difference is update cadence: OLAS at every 2 weeks against Promethean's every 4 months. OLAS also leads on iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). Promethean's advantage is ratings volume (59 vs 3). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

OLAS holds the better App Store score, 2.7 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Promethean has 59 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

OLAS ships an update every 2 weeks, Promethean every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
