# Solitaire Detectives vs Crystal Pyramid Solitaire

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Crystal Pyramid Solitaire at 100% against Solitaire Detectives's 56%. Solitaire Detectives's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.0) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 6 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Solitaire Detectives sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Crystal Pyramid Solitaire sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Solitaire Detectives holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Solitaire Detectives has 34 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 56% of Solitaire Detectives's written reviews are positive against 100% of Crystal Pyramid Solitaire's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Solitaire Detectives ships an update every 2 months, Crystal Pyramid Solitaire every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
