# 720云 vs Simple 360 Cardboard VR Player

The clearest difference is rating: Simple 360 Cardboard VR Player at 4.4 against 720云's 1.9. Simple 360 Cardboard VR Player also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). 720云's advantage is review sentiment (69% vs 33%) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 720云 sells 20 one-off in-app purchases and Simple 360 Cardboard VR Player sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Simple 360 Cardboard VR Player holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 1.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Simple 360 Cardboard VR Player has 150 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 69% of 720云's written reviews are positive against 33% of Simple 360 Cardboard VR Player's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

720云 ships an update every 3 weeks, Simple 360 Cardboard VR Player every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
