# Coaster vs Phantasialand

The clearest difference is price: Phantasialand at Free against Coaster's $8.99. Phantasialand also leads on rating (3.6 vs 3.3). Coaster's advantage is ratings volume (30 vs 9) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0). On review sentiment, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Phantasialand is free to download; Coaster costs $8.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Phantasialand holds the better App Store score, 3.6 against 3.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 30 and 9 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 41% of Coaster's written reviews are positive against 36% of Phantasialand's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Coaster ships an update every 5 months, Phantasialand every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
