# Convoy vs Tortooga Freight

The clearest difference is rating: Convoy at 4.6 against Tortooga Freight's 4.0. Convoy also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 75 months) and ratings volume (3.7K vs 4). Tortooga Freight's advantage is review sentiment (75% vs 39%) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Convoy holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Convoy has 3.7K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 39% of Convoy's written reviews are positive against 75% of Tortooga Freight's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Convoy ships an update every 3 weeks, Tortooga Freight every 75 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
