# Roomster vs NYIS

The clearest difference is review sentiment: NYIS at 100% against Roomster's 22%. NYIS also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.0) and in-app purchases (none vs 10). Roomster's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (22K vs 18). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Roomster sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. NYIS asks for nothing beyond the download.

NYIS holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Roomster has 22K ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 22% of Roomster's written reviews are positive against 100% of NYIS's.

Roomster ships an update every 2 days, NYIS every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
