# IP Camera Viewer vs UniCam

The clearest difference is rating: UniCam at 4.5 against IP Camera Viewer's 4.0. IP Camera Viewer's advantage is ratings volume (1.2K vs 51) and device support (6 vs 4). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. IP Camera Viewer sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and UniCam sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

UniCam holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IP Camera Viewer has 1.2K ratings behind it against 51, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 39% of IP Camera Viewer's written reviews are positive against 33% of UniCam's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

IP Camera Viewer ships an update fortnightly, UniCam every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
