# PianoMate vs EV

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: EV at none against PianoMate's 11. EV also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). PianoMate's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 52 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PianoMate sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. EV asks for nothing beyond the download.

PianoMate ships an update weekly, EV every 52 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
