# NBL vs SANFL Now

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: NBL at none against SANFL Now's 2. NBL also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (10 vs 2). SANFL Now's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, review sentiment, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SANFL Now sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. NBL asks for nothing beyond the download.

SANFL Now holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NBL has 10 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 31% of NBL's written reviews are positive against 24% of SANFL Now's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

NBL ships an update fortnightly, SANFL Now every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
