# SHLive vs Pucken

The clearest difference is ads: Pucken at none against SHLive's shown. Pucken also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SHLive sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Pucken sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SHLive ships an update every 4 months, Pucken every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
