# Hitec Connect vs Drones for DJI

The clearest difference is rating: Drones for DJI at 4.5 against Hitec Connect's 2.5. Drones for DJI also leads on ratings volume (2.8K vs 4). Hitec Connect's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Drones for DJI sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Hitec Connect asks for nothing beyond the download.

Drones for DJI holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Drones for DJI has 2.8K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of Hitec Connect's written reviews are positive against 11% of Drones for DJI's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
