# 简笔 vs QuickNote

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: 简笔 at none against QuickNote's 3. 简笔 also leads on iOS requirement (7.0 vs 14.0). QuickNote's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. QuickNote sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. 简笔 asks for nothing beyond the download.

简笔 ships an update every 3 months, QuickNote fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 19, 2026 and September 21, 2026 respectively.
