# Predator Viewer vs Ghost Detector

The clearest difference is price: Ghost Detector at Free against Predator Viewer's $1.99. Ghost Detector also leads on update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 12 months) and ratings volume (6.1K vs 53). Predator Viewer's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 14) and ads (none vs shown). On rating and device support there is nothing between them.

Ghost Detector is free to download; Predator Viewer costs $1.99 up front. Ghost Detector sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Predator Viewer asks for nothing beyond the download.

Ghost Detector holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ghost Detector has 6.1K ratings behind it against 53, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of Predator Viewer's written reviews are positive against 64% of Ghost Detector's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Predator Viewer ships an update every 12 months, Ghost Detector every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
