# iCountTimer vs DieFit

The clearest difference is update cadence: DieFit at monthly against iCountTimer's every 4 months. iCountTimer's advantage is iOS requirement (16.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iCountTimer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and DieFit sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

iCountTimer ships an update every 4 months, DieFit monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
