# Interval Timer vs PaceBeep

The clearest difference is update cadence: Interval Timer at every 3 days against PaceBeep's monthly. PaceBeep's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Interval Timer sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and PaceBeep sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Interval Timer ships an update every 3 days, PaceBeep monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and September 21, 2026 respectively.
