# Clock and Timer vs HeatNext

The clearest difference is update cadence: Clock and Timer at every 2 weeks against HeatNext's every 2 months. Clock and Timer also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). HeatNext's advantage is device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Clock and Timer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and HeatNext sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Clock and Timer ships an update every 2 weeks, HeatNext every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on June 1, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
