# SymPlayer vs Koetsuku

The clearest difference is ads: Koetsuku at none against SymPlayer's shown. Koetsuku also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 10 days) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SymPlayer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Koetsuku sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SymPlayer ships an update every 10 days, Koetsuku every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
