# The Simple Camera vs Pro Camera with RAW & Focus

The clearest difference is monetization model: The Simple Camera at free with in-app purchases against Pro Camera with RAW & Focus's subscription. The Simple Camera also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). Pro Camera with RAW & Focus's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (4.2K vs 206). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. The Simple Camera sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Pro Camera with RAW & Focus sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for The Simple Camera against 4.4 for Pro Camera with RAW & Focus. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pro Camera with RAW & Focus has 4.2K ratings behind it against 206, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 55% of The Simple Camera's written reviews are positive against 63% of Pro Camera with RAW & Focus's.

The Simple Camera ships an update weekly, Pro Camera with RAW & Focus every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
