# BlackVue vs IGLA

The clearest difference is rating: BlackVue at 3.8 against IGLA's 2.3. BlackVue also leads on ratings volume (2.9K vs 3) and chart position (#146 vs unranked). IGLA's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 12) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BlackVue sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. IGLA asks for nothing beyond the download.

BlackVue holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BlackVue has 2.9K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 9% of BlackVue's written reviews are positive against 15% of IGLA's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BlackVue ships an update every 3 weeks, IGLA every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
