# BlackVue vs xBloom Coffee

The clearest difference is rating: BlackVue at 3.8 against xBloom Coffee's 2.9. BlackVue also leads on ratings volume (2.9K vs 80) and chart position (#176 vs unranked). xBloom Coffee's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 12) and review sentiment (35% vs 9%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BlackVue sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. xBloom Coffee asks for nothing beyond the download.

BlackVue holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BlackVue has 2.9K ratings behind it against 80, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 9% of BlackVue's written reviews are positive against 35% of xBloom Coffee's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BlackVue ships an update every 3 weeks, xBloom Coffee every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
