# Video Editor ‧ vs Sync.Ly

The clearest difference is ads: Video Editor ‧ at none against Sync.Ly's shown. Video Editor ‧ also leads on ratings volume (33K vs 785) and review sentiment (65% vs 57%). Sync.Ly's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.4) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Video Editor ‧ sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Sync.Ly sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sync.Ly holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Video Editor ‧ has 33K ratings behind it against 785, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of Video Editor ‧'s written reviews are positive against 57% of Sync.Ly's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Video Editor ‧ ships an update every 3 weeks, Sync.Ly every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
