# Nanoleaf vs Cleer Connect

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Cleer Connect at 100% against Nanoleaf's 17%. Cleer Connect also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.4). Nanoleaf's advantage is rating (4.2 vs 3.7) and ratings volume (45K vs 3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Nanoleaf holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nanoleaf has 45K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 17% of Nanoleaf's written reviews are positive against 100% of Cleer Connect's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Nanoleaf ships an update every 2 weeks, Cleer Connect monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
