# Nanoleaf vs LARQ

Nanoleaf and LARQ both sit at 4.2 stars, but that hides the real split: 54% of LARQ's written reviews are positive against 17% of Nanoleaf's. Nanoleaf's advantage is ratings volume (45K vs 616) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.2 for Nanoleaf against 4.3 for LARQ. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nanoleaf has 45K ratings behind it against 616, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 17% of Nanoleaf's written reviews are positive against 54% of LARQ's.

Nanoleaf ships an update every 2 weeks, LARQ monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
