# Nanoleaf vs Dramatic Light Presentations

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Dramatic Light Presentations at 100% against Nanoleaf's 17%. Nanoleaf's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ratings volume (45K vs 3). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dramatic Light Presentations sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Nanoleaf asks for nothing beyond the download.

Nanoleaf holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nanoleaf has 45K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 17% of Nanoleaf's written reviews are positive against 100% of Dramatic Light Presentations's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Nanoleaf ships an update every 2 weeks, Dramatic Light Presentations monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
