# Vivara vs Océane

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Vivara at 48% against Océane's 30%. Vivara also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and ratings volume (99 vs 12). Océane's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Océane holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Vivara has 99 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 48% of Vivara's written reviews are positive against 30% of Océane's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Vivara ships an update every 11 days, Océane fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
