# DosBros vs Edley’s BBQ

The clearest difference is rating: DosBros at 4.9 against Edley’s BBQ's 4.0. DosBros also leads on ratings volume (1K vs 8). Edley’s BBQ's advantage is review sentiment (80% vs 42%) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

DosBros holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DosBros has 1K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 42% of DosBros's written reviews are positive against 80% of Edley’s BBQ's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

DosBros ships an update every 6 months, Edley’s BBQ every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
