# Snowflake vs MS SC

The clearest difference is rating: MS SC at 5.0 against Snowflake's 2.0. MS SC also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 months). Snowflake's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (8 vs 1). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MS SC sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Snowflake asks for nothing beyond the download.

MS SC holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Snowflake has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Snowflake ships an update every 5 months, MS SC every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
