# UAV Forecast vs Windy.com

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Windy.com at 89% against UAV Forecast's 33%. Windy.com also leads on ratings volume (80K vs 3.5K) and rating (4.8 vs 4.6). UAV Forecast's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. UAV Forecast sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Windy.com sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Windy.com holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Windy.com has 80K ratings behind it against 3.5K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 33% of UAV Forecast's written reviews are positive against 89% of Windy.com's.

UAV Forecast ships an update every 5 days, Windy.com every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 16, 2026.
