# Promise Box vs ArcaBooks

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Promise Box at 93% against ArcaBooks's 56%. ArcaBooks's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and in-app purchases (none vs 1). On price, ratings volume, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Promise Box sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. ArcaBooks asks for nothing beyond the download.

ArcaBooks holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 4 and 5 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 93% of Promise Box's written reviews are positive against 56% of ArcaBooks's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Promise Box ships an update every 7 months, ArcaBooks every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
