# ViSoft Smart vs Aloha VPN

The clearest difference is rating: Aloha VPN at 4.3 against ViSoft Smart's 3.3. Aloha VPN also leads on ratings volume (351 vs 6). ViSoft Smart's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and review sentiment (64% vs 55%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Aloha VPN sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. ViSoft Smart asks for nothing beyond the download.

Aloha VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Aloha VPN has 351 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of ViSoft Smart's written reviews are positive against 55% of Aloha VPN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ViSoft Smart ships an update every 2 months, Aloha VPN every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
