# Artcast vs Spectiv

The clearest difference is rating: Spectiv at 4.5 against Artcast's 3.9. Spectiv also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (60% vs 39%). Artcast's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 4 months). Both are free to download. Artcast sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Spectiv sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
