# Complicate It vs Watch Faces

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Complicate It at 72% against Watch Faces's 29%. Complicate It also leads on iOS requirement (12.1 vs 16.1). Watch Faces's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 3.9) and ratings volume (1.6K vs 404). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Complicate It sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Watch Faces sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Watch Faces holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 404 and 1.6K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of Complicate It's written reviews are positive against 29% of Watch Faces's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Complicate It ships an update monthly, Watch Faces every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
