# Assured PackOut™ vs Next Gear

The clearest difference is rating: Next Gear at 2.6 against Assured PackOut™'s 1.8. Next Gear also leads on ratings volume (367 vs 4). Assured PackOut™'s advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 43%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Next Gear holds the better App Store score, 2.6 against 1.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Next Gear has 367 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Assured PackOut™'s written reviews are positive against 43% of Next Gear's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Assured PackOut™ ships an update every 2 weeks, Next Gear every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on November 2, 2026.
