# Lock Notes Pro vs StopButton

The clearest difference is price: StopButton at $1.99 against Lock Notes Pro's $9.99. StopButton also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 82%). Lock Notes Pro's advantage is ratings volume (270 vs 7) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). On rating, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Lock Notes Pro costs $9.99 and StopButton $1.99 up front. Lock Notes Pro sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $14.99 per year and StopButton sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Lock Notes Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lock Notes Pro has 270 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 82% of Lock Notes Pro's written reviews are positive against 100% of StopButton's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Lock Notes Pro ships an update every 2 weeks, StopButton fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
