# Databit vs Mexfon

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Databit at 78% against Mexfon's 29%. Databit also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (204 vs 1). Mexfon's advantage is price (Free vs $1.99) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). On update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Mexfon is free to download; Databit costs $1.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Mexfon holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Databit has 204 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of Databit's written reviews are positive against 29% of Mexfon's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
