# BeaconSET vs MiniWave

The clearest difference is update cadence: MiniWave at every 2 months against BeaconSET's every 6 months. MiniWave also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BeaconSET ships an update every 6 months, MiniWave every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 15, 2026.
