# EShare for SmartTV vs TDMAX

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: EShare for SmartTV at none against TDMAX's 5. EShare for SmartTV also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (22% vs 11%). TDMAX's advantage is rating (4.0 vs 3.6) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 4 months). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TDMAX sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. EShare for SmartTV asks for nothing beyond the download.

TDMAX holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TDMAX has 1.6K ratings behind it against 251, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 22% of EShare for SmartTV's written reviews are positive against 11% of TDMAX's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

EShare for SmartTV ships an update every 4 months, TDMAX fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
