# Brave Browser & Search Engine vs RedApp Lite

The clearest difference is monetization model: RedApp Lite at free against Brave Browser & Search Engine's free with in-app purchases. RedApp Lite also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). Brave Browser & Search Engine's advantage is ratings volume (671K vs 393) and chart position (#23 vs unranked). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Brave Browser & Search Engine sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and RedApp Lite sells 8 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Brave Browser & Search Engine holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Brave Browser & Search Engine has 671K ratings behind it against 393, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of Brave Browser & Search Engine's written reviews are positive against 77% of RedApp Lite's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Brave Browser & Search Engine ships an update every 2 weeks, RedApp Lite every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
