# Brave Browser & Search Engine vs VPN Rapid

The clearest difference is rating: Brave Browser & Search Engine at 4.8 against VPN Rapid's 3.7. Brave Browser & Search Engine also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (671K vs 51). VPN Rapid's advantage is review sentiment (88% vs 73%) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Brave Browser & Search Engine sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and VPN Rapid sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Brave Browser & Search Engine holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Brave Browser & Search Engine has 671K ratings behind it against 51, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of Brave Browser & Search Engine's written reviews are positive against 88% of VPN Rapid's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
