# Mostnote vs TaskCow

The clearest difference is update cadence: TaskCow at every 3 weeks against Mostnote's every 4 months. Mostnote's advantage is iOS requirement (9.3 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mostnote sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and TaskCow sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mostnote ships an update every 4 months, TaskCow every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
