# Paintwork vs Handwriting Fontmaker

The clearest difference is rating: Paintwork at 4.6 against Handwriting Fontmaker's 2.3. Paintwork also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (65% vs 33%). Handwriting Fontmaker's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs weekly) and iOS requirement (13.4 vs 15.6). Both are free to download. Paintwork sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Handwriting Fontmaker sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Paintwork holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.3.
